At Melcare Minato Center, we offer English language support and speech therapy.

The child development support service fee refers to the self-pay amount for the

support the child receives (which amounts to 90% of the amount specified by the ministry of

Health,Labour and Welfare). This fee is waived for preschool children starting from 3 years

of age. In principle, the eligibility period starts from April 1st after the child turns 3 years old

and ends once the child enters elementary school.

Furthermore, children from 0 to 3 years old who are exempt from municipal tax will

also be exempt from paying these fees.

Our service area is designated to Minato、Chuo -ku. Please contact us if you live in other areas.

Except for the consultations we provide at this center, a beneficiary certificate(受給者

証 Jyu-kyu-sha-sho) issued by the municipality is required to receive services at our center.

In order to go through this process, it is necessary to have a preliminary interview with the

center you are planning to attend and to obtain an informal consent concerning your child’s

future support plan beforehand.

Melcare Minato Center accepts children who are determined to be in need of

immediate intervention during the preliminary consultation. We do not accept children by

reservation or by waiting list. The legal capacity per day is limited to 10 children and we are

often at full capacity. Also, the languages that can be provided are only English and Japanese. if you are interested in our center, please fill out the application form below with the necessary information. Upon receipt of the form , the counseling office will contact you via email regarding

your preliminary interview. The preliminary interview will be scheduled during work hours, in

between classes, so details will be determined once an open slot is available. Thank you for

Due to the nature of our work, it may be difficult to respond to inquiries by phone. We
